Thing 23 - The end or the beginning

What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
Really, most of it, but especially Flickr, Librarything, Youtube, my blog.......

How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
It has been so fragmented for me and this spells frustration. Yet, I am so excited to think, with the help of Nebraska Learns 2.0, I touched the surface of what is available.

Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
Absolutely, but I won't bore you with them. I feel as if I need time to process it all. I believe what will happen is that in my daily work here at the library I will have new tools to use, to suggest, etc.

What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept? And last but not least…
You have done a fantastic job--just need more time to accomplish it all (speaking only for myself.)

If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again choose to participate?
Yes!

Thing 22 - Podcasts

This is very humbling - Bloglines is not Blogspot - and yes, I added a podcast to my Bloglines acc't.

Thing 20-Web 2.0 apps

Because my time is limited to a few minutes here and there, the idea of subject headings for web apps really appeals to me. I tried genealogy--one of them allows you to construct a family tree. I will suggest this site to a friend who is interested in genealogy.

Thing 13 - What are you doing?

I went back to my Twitter acc't, added another follower (nlcsusan) and posted comment.

Thing 11 - blog/technology

Voki is so much fun it's hard to be anything but excited about technology. It all still feels so foreign, probably because I don't have access at home (I do have a cell phone but that doesn't count!) I'm delighted to try out all these new "Things" here at work.

Thing 9 - Flickr tools

Pretty amazing - Picaboo.com will mail you the scrapbook you have created online.

Things 6 & 7

Bloglines - I created an account and added feeds, especially some that would held in creating library displays. Nice to be able to go to Bloglines and have these feeds accessible.

Zoho word

I created documents, printed them and posted a link to my blog from Zoho--still finding my way around but seems pretty easy to use.

wiki not icky

Wikis are not icky. I visited the Princeton NJ library wiki. I like the book reviews. Our patrons occasionally break forth with glowing book reviews (or not glowing) at the front desk--We could direct them to the online wiki to post a review. It might be fun for patrons to get a comment on a review he/she added to the wiki.
Subject wikis also seem to be a great idea.
How about adding subject heading wiki entries for possible inclusion in the database.
